Your kid will be over-the-moon with this fun costume and it's so easy to make that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to do it!
Materials:
- Gray sweatshirt and sweatpants
- Bicycle helmet
- Silver duct tape
- Two empty 2-liter soda bottles
- Red and orange tissue paper
- Wide silver ribbon
- 12"x12" piece of foam poster board
- Double Sided Tape
Step 1: Cover your bicycle helmet with silver duct tape to resemble a space helmet. Cover any type of shoes in silver duct tape.
Step 2: Cover soda bottles and poster board completely in silver duct tape. Attach soda bottles to the foam board with looped pieces of silver duct tape. Cut even pieces of silver ribbon and attach to poster board with duct tape to make straps. Place a piece of red tissue paper on top of an orange piece and stick inside the opening of each bottle to resemble flames, tape in place.
Step 3: Dress your child in the sweatshirt and sweatpants and attach NASA logo to the top right of the sweatshirt, the American flag to the right hand shoulder, and the International Space Station logo to the left hand shoulder using double sided tape. Complete the outfit with the helmet, jetpack and shoes and you're ready for take off!
